Veteran comedian Tennyson Cooray has passed away today (28) after being admitted to the National Hospital of Sri Lanka.
He was 68 years old at the time of his death and had been hospitalized due to a heart condition recently.
Born in Moratuwa on April 30, 1952, he was educated at the Moratuwa Methodist High School and began his career as a stage actor in ‘Moratumulla Church’ stage play directed by Rev. Theodore H. Perera. Cooray has since acted in nearly 64 films.
