The Pattithottam and Periyakadei villages in the Mannar District were declared as isolated villages today (11) to contain the spread of Covid-19. The announcement was made by the Army Commander and the Head of the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) Lt. General Shavendra Silva.
The lockdown order came after several carpenters working at a construction site at the Mannar Bishop House tested positive over the weekend.
