Two more villages in the Kurunegala District have been isolated since this morning, Army Commander General Shavendra de Silva said. Accordingly, steps have been taken to isolate the Kumbukgate Nilaviya Grama Niladhari Division and the Nikadalupotha Grama Niladhari Division in the Wellawa Police Division.
This is due to the high incidence of Covid infections in the two Grama Niladhari Divisions. The Army Commander also called on the people to act responsibly in a situation where a recurrence of Covid infections is being reported in several districts including Colombo and Kurunegala.
