It has been revealed that two government Ministers had attended the wedding of Easter Sunday bomber Ilham Ibrahim. This was revealed when his mother-in-law provided testimony before the Presidential Commission inquiring Easter Sunday attacks yesterday (23).

In her testimony before the Commission, the woman identified as the mother of Fathima Jifry, the wife of Ilham Ibrahim said her daughter had married the bomber in 2012. Fathima was her youngest child, she said.

She also recalled that two Ministers had attended her daughter’s wedding at the time. She went on to name Minister Rauff Hakeem and said she is unable to recall the name of the other Minister. However, she told the Commission that she can provide additional information after inquiring from her family members.
