Organized by the Sri Lanka Automobile Sport Association and Diyatalawa Army Science Faculty, the Fox Hill Supercross tournament featured over 200 competitors participating in 25 car and motorcycle racing events, marking its return after a five-year hiatus. Unfortunately, the event was marred by tragedy, reminiscent of its abrupt cancellation in 2019 due to the Easter attack.

Despite safety measures in place, organizers attributed the accident to excessive dust exacerbated by dry weather conditions. However, Minister Dilum Amunugama, present at the event, emphasized the need for heightened spectator safety measures in future races.
