Austrian reports state that at least nine people are dead following a school shooting that took place around 10 a.m. on Tuesday. The tragic incident occurred at the BORG school on Dreierschützengasse in Graz’s Lend district.
The shooter, reportedly a student at the school, opened fire in two classrooms before being found dead in a restroom. Authorities believe he acted alone and may have cited bullying as a motive.
While nine people have been confirmed dead, the number of those seriously injured has not yet been released.
Police and the Cobra special unit have secured the area and are continuing to search the building.
