Three police officers from the Kollupitiya Police Station have been taken into custody for allegedly requesting a bribe from an Austrian female tourist.
According to police reports, the officers—a Sergeant and two Constables—allegedly demanded Rs. 50,000 from the tourist in exchange for not pursuing legal action against her for possessing foreign cigarettes.
