“Uragaha Michael”, a notorious underworld figure linked to numerous murders and criminal activities, along with twelve other wanted criminals, have been arrested in Dubai, according to operational sources. Among them is Champika Prasanna Kumara Loku Suji, Kalana Manawadu, a retired Navy soldier implicated in the Beliatta five-person murder.

Uragaha Michael, known for his involvement in high-profile crimes including the murder of Kennedy alias Bumma Lawa outside the Balapitiya court, is reportedly coordinating criminal activities from Dubai. Intelligence reports suggest that weapons, including RPGs and T56 rifles, have been smuggled into Sri Lanka from abroad under his direction, with plans to target a prison bus transporting a key individual named Taraka in Kosgoda.

Furthermore, Uragaha Michael is believed to have orchestrated the recent spate of murders involving five victims, consolidating his influence within the underworld network. Operating closely with Kosgoda Sujeeva, he has played a central role in destabilizing the country through criminal activities.

The group’s base in Dubai has been identified as a hub for orchestrating underworld operations in Sri Lanka, posing a significant threat to national security and stability.
