The suspect who set fire on a student in Ampitiya arrested!

The criminal who set fire at a student of Ampitiya in front of his father was arrested today mornig by a special investigation team deployed by the Senior Deputy Inspector Gerneral of the Central Province.

The suspect was a 26-year-old man named Pathum Malith , a resident of Ampitiya.

The suspect who was said to have left the area was arrested while hiding in a forested area called Semaneriyawatta in Ampitiya.

The suspect was arrested with a bag contained a hand grenade and a bottle containing a liquid similar to gasoline Police said.

The police media spokesperson had said that this suspect was involved in many crimes in the area and was sometimes imprisoned.

The arrested suspect is scheduled to be produced to the courts.
