The Secretary of the Municipal Council in Vavuniya has officially announced the temporary suspension of the firefighting service provided by the Vavuniya Municipal Council.
The announcement, explained that this decision was necessitated by the unfortunate breakdown of the sole fire engine owned by the Vavuniya Municipal Council, prompting the need for repairs that could only be conducted in Colombo.
The Secretary of the Vavuniya Municipal Council has assured the public that firefighting services will promptly resume as soon as the repair work on the fire engine is successfully completed.
