In the Gurunagar area of Jaffna, a foreign couple hailing from Sweden has taken the initiative to clean up the Gurunagar beach, receiving valuable support from a group of enthusiastic young people from Jaffna.
The couple’s stay in Jaffna spans a month, during which their entire efforts will be dedicated to beach cleaning.
Despite their eventual return to Sweden, the couple aspires to establish an ongoing program engaging the local youth in cleaning Gurunagar beach. To realize this vision, they plan to maintain contact with the current group of young volunteers, who are working together to clean the beach with the couple’s financial support.
