The Commander of the Army General Shavendra Silva has stated that the employees of the hotels where foreign tourists have stayed in the country have been temporarily banned from leaving the hotels where they are staying.

The general also said that even after the foreigners leave the country, the employees of the hotels where the tourists were staying will be quarantined for 14 days.

He emphasized that foreign tourists would be taken to four special places where it would be strictly forbidden to come into contact with any Sri Lankan.
