Sri Lankans will have the opportunity to observe a lunar eclipse tonight (28).
Professor Chandana Jayaratne from the Physics Department at the University of Colombo has provided details on the celestial event. The lunar eclipse is expected to be visible from 11:32 PM to 3:56 AM, lasting for a total duration of 4 hours and 25 minutes.
Unlike solar eclipses, which require protective eyewear, this partial lunar eclipse can be safely viewed with the naked eye.
