Sri Lankans in Europe stage another massive protest in Geneva!

The massive protest campaign organized by the Sri Lankan community living in Europe in front of the Human Rights Office in Geneva was held yesterday (28) with the participation of more than a thousand people, informing the international community about the government’s anti-democratic crackdown.

The Maha Sanga, who live in those countries too took part at the event.

People from ten European countries joined the protest. Five buses from Italy and buses organized from France, UK  had also arrived.

The special thing is that a group of Sri Lankans living in Poland have also come to this protest site after traveling for 25 hours.

In addition, a large number of people had provided their own transportation.

A strong objection was expressed regarding the arrest of activists using the Prevention of Terrorism Act, detention with detention orders, and the suppression of the law that violates human rights. The protestors held their agitation for two hours.
