A strike against “C. L. O.”, one of Italy’s top procurement agencies, a company with around 1500 local and foreign workers, has been organized by three Sri Lankans.

Leaders of Sri Lankan trade unions, Sri Maal Devapriya, Subash Chaminda, and Sanath Ravindra were the three Sri Lankans who started this movement.

It is reported that more and more employees are joining this strike which has started due to the delay in giving salary increments and promotions as scheduled.

Srimal Devapriya, one of the key members of this strike, stated that this movement was launched because of the non-provision of salary increments and job promotions as per Italy’s national labor policy.
