Due to the callous disregard and negligence of the health authorities, the country lost 100 containers containing medical equipment worth 39 billion rupees.

Meanwhile, the hospital service board has decided to ask for the public’s assistance in bringing 10 other containers containing a stock of medical equipment donated to the country by friends overseas, said its director, Ven. Rajawelle Subhuthi Thero.
