Modara Police have arrested a young social media activist for allegedly posting on social media regarding the protest to be held on April 03 (tomorrow). It is reported that the police are currently interrogating the youth, Thisara Anuruddha Bandara.
The youth, who is said to be the leader of a Facebook group called ‘Go Home Gota’, was arrested in Gampola last night and is currently being questioned by the Modara Police. According to police sources, the youth has been arrested for expressing his views on social media that the government should draw the attention of the people to the difficulties faced by them and urge them to take immediate action in this regard.
