Business communities in several other towns have decided to be self-locked to prevent the further spread of the current Covid epidemic. Accordingly, businesses in Kegalle, Ratnapura, Tangalle, Ranna, Ambalangoda and other cities will be closed for 14 days from the 18th.
Businesses in those cities have made this decision because of the safety of businesses, employees, their families, and consumers, and many of these cities have taken steps to home delivery of daily needs with safety measures.
The trade unions in Gampaha, Marandagahamula and Veyangoda were the first to do so, but the trade unions had taken steps to close down Kekirawa from yesterday (16).
In addition, the trade unions have taken steps to close down the towns of Ambalantota, Maradagahamula, Ambalangoda, Veyangoda, Dankotuwa, Serunuwara, Balangoda, Walapane, Embilipitiya and Matale.
