Jaffna Police have arrested Arun Siddharthan who was self claimed as AWA Gang leader yesterday (20) arrested by the police for making a number of controversial statements while engaging in political activities in Jaffna
Arun Siddharthan had also been issued a warrant for evading court despite the court order to summon him after the police received complaints against him and reported the matter to the court.
He was arrested by the Jaffna Police after receiving information regarding several crimes committed by him and making death threats to a journalist in Jaffna.
The Board of Trustees of the Nallur Kovil has also lodged a complaint with the police against Arun Siddharthan for publicly stating that he would demolish the Nallur Templel in Jaffna and build a public toilet there if he gained any power.
Steps have been taken to produce the arrested Arun Siddharthan in Jaffna court.
