Damita Abeyratne, a live wire of the Galle face struggle, says that she had a misconception about Sajith Premadasa, but today she admits that he was a principled politician. Addressing a press conference held yesterday (28), Damita Abeyratne said she could now understand why Sajith Premadasa declined to take over the government. It is because he was reluctant to work with a group of crooks who have criminal tendencies.

Damita Abeyratne, who has received secret calls from various political parties to enter politics with many perks, has stated that she will never do so. She also said that she would be in the right place at the right time to make the struggle a reality.

She said, “I think that we blamed Mr. Sajith Premadasa the most. He has been scolded by name in recent times. The reason is that we went to the parliamentary complex and asked him to accept the administration. At the time he declined, we thought that he was unable to represent the people of the country. “

But I believe today that he did not accept it because he could not stand with these hooligans. So I believe Sajith Premadasa is a principled politician.

“I have the confidence that I can stand anywhere. The current government has made a very secret request for me to join hands with them. However, my response was that I would not fall prey to them. “Yes, I will stand with a group that will fulfil the goals of the struggle somewhere someday.”
