Professor Sujeewa Amarasena, Vice Chancellor of Ruhuna University, has written to Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya, stating that he will not resign despite demands from the university’s non-academic staff, student unions, and the Federation of University Teachers’ Unions.
This letter comes in response to collective protests by Ruhuna University’s academic staff, non-academic staff, and students, who are calling for his immediate resignation.
