Colombo chief Magistrate Asanka ‘s Bodaragama ordered to remand of Former Minister Rajitha Senaratne until the 9th.
Former Minister , for whom a warrant had been issued for his arrest, appeared before the court this morning (29).
He appeared before Colombo High Court and Judge Lanka Jayaratne ordered the remand of former Minister Rajitha Senaratne.
Senaratne was produced before the Colombo High Court in a case filed by the Bribery Commission.
It was revealed to the court that Senaratne is currently a warrant holder before the Colombo Magistrate’s Court. Considering the facts presented, the High Court fixed a future date for the case before it and directed that Senaratne be taken into custody by prison officials and produced before the Colombo Magistrate’s Court.
Accordingly, the former minister, who has been remanded was produced before the Magistrate’s Court later.
