Former Minister Rajitha Senaratne, against whom arrest warrants have been issued, is scheduled to appear in two cases today (29) and has already arrived at the Colombo High Court.
One case, filed by the Bribery Commission, will be heard before Colombo High Court Judge Lanka Jayaratne today (29). In addition, another case filed against him by the Bribery Commission is set to be taken up before the Colombo Magistrate’s Court.
Senaratne’s legal advisor, President’s Counsel Kalinga Indatissa, confirmed during a hearing at the Colombo High Court yesterday (28) that the former minister will also appear before the Colombo Magistrate’s Court today. He made this statement while examining a revision petition filed by Senaratne seeking to suspend the arrest warrant issued by the Colombo Magistrate’s Court.
