Former President Ranil Wickremesinghe visited former President Mahinda Rajapaksa at his Carlton residence in Tangalle today (28).
He was warmly welcomed at the doorstep by Mrs. Shiranthi Rajapaksa and a young child.
Wickremesinghe stopped by Carlton House on his way back to Colombo from Kataragama and met with Rajapaksa. During the meeting, he expressed his gratitude to Rajapaksa for the support extended during his period of imprisonment.
The two former leaders engaged in a cordial conversation, sharing thoughts on each other’s joys and hardships.
