Railway Security Officers Return Forgotten Bag with Jewelry Worth Over 5 Million Rupees

Railway security officers have handed over a bag containing jewelery worth more than 5 million rupees, which was forgotten in a train, to its owners.

This bag was left in a train that was traveling from Matara to Colombo Fort.

The bag was found by the railway security officers during the check after the train arrived at the Maligawatta railway yard.

The couple, who were residents of Kandy, were traveling with several pieces of luggage and the bag containing the jewelery was left behind as it was placed under the seat.

Apart from jewellery, an Apple iPhone, a savings certificate of Rs 35 laks, bank books, a car key and identity documents were found in the bag.
