Her Royal Highness Princess Anne, the Princess Royal, and her husband, Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence who are on a three-day official visit to Sri Lanka, met President Ranil Wickremesinghe at the Presidential Palace yesterday (10).
The royal delegation, including Princess Anne, who arrived at the Fort Presidential Palace, was warmly welcomed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, President’s Attorney Ali Sabri.
Afterwards, the group including Princess Anne joined President Ranil Wickramasinghe and Professor Maithrie Wickramasinghe for a friendly conversation.
To mark the occasion, Princess Anne also made an entry in the Special Guest Commemorative Book kept at the Presidential Palace.
Former President Chandrika Bandaranayake Kumaratunga, Minister of State for Health Sita Arambepola, Secretary to the President Saman Ekanayake, Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Aruni Wijewardene, Chief of Defense Staff General Shavendra Silva were present on this occasion.
