The President Ranil Wickramasinghe has decided not to reshuffle the cabinet until the budget debate and voting are over reliable sources revealed Lankasara.
The President has taken this decision at a time when the Pohottu group including Johnston Fernando, Namal Rajapakse, Rohitha Abeygunawardena have made a request for a cabinet reshuffle enabling them to take over ministerial posts before the budget. They also have informed the president that if they do not do so the budget will be defeated.
However, the President has stated his position that necessary amendments will be made in relation to the Cabinet after the budget.
The budget will be presented on the 14th. Then the budget debate will be held for two weeks.
