Police Spokesman SP Jaliya Senaratne has been promoted to the rank of Senior Superintendent of Police. The promotion has been approved by the National Police Commission and the Election Commission of Sri Lanka as required during a pre-election period. The promotion has been backdated to January 1, 2018.
Senaratne who joined the Police as a reservist is also an Attorney at Law. He also serves as the Director of the Police Media Unit.
