The Sri Lanka Police has appealed to the public to provide any information on a Police Sergeant that went missing nearly 18 years ago. According to Police Spokesman SP Jaliya Senaratne, Police Sergeant 13935 M.M Aruna Sendheera attached to the Kegalle Police at the time had gone missing in 2002. The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) has now commenced a fresh investigation to his disappearance after receiving a complaint from the missing cop’s wife.
According to Senaratne, the Police have not received any definite information on his disappearance and therefore expects the support of the public to elicit any new leads to the case.
