In the early hours of today (27), at approximately 4:30 am, a shot was fired at a hotel situated on the Wellawatta Shore Road, as confirmed by the Wellawatta Police.
According to police reports, the gunfire was perpetrated by two unidentified individuals who arrived on a motorcycle. Following the incident, the assailants swiftly fled the scene. The motive behind the shooting remains undisclosed at this time.

Thankfully, no injuries were reported in connection with the gunfire.
In response to the incident, the Wellawatta Police have initiated a comprehensive investigation to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
