SLPP members are perturbed over a decision by the government to give a car only to Sita Armbepola among the parliamentarians who lost or damaged their properties during the acts of violence reported last year.
Commenting on this, a member of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna said that due to the violent acts that occurred during the struggle, the properties of more than a hundred people, including members of Parliament of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna, members of the provincial council, and representatives of the local government, were damaged.
He also pointed out that it is a serious injustice to give a vehicle only to Sita Arambepola against this backdrop, where none of those MPs has received any compensation yet.
