Plane from Sydney to Auckland Suffers Technical Fault, Injuring Passengers

Today (11), a flight operated by LATAM Airlines traveling from Sydney, Australia to Auckland, New Zealand experienced a technical malfunction while airborne, resulting in injuries to approximately 50 passengers. Despite the incident, the aircraft managed to make a successful landing in Auckland.

Upon landing, the Auckland Local Ambulance Service was on standby at the airport to provide immediate medical assistance to the injured passengers. Out of the injured, 7 passengers and 3 crew members were subsequently transported to a hospital for further treatment. Foreign media reports indicate that the injuries of those not requiring hospitalization, except for one individual, are not deemed serious.

In response to the incident, LATAM Airlines issued a statement expressing regret for the inconvenience caused to passengers and acknowledging the injuries sustained during the flight. The airline assured that necessary measures would be taken to support the affected passengers and address any concerns arising from the incident.
