Army Commander Lt. General Shavendra Silva has asked persons who believe they have come into contact with a Covid 19 positive patient or anyone who has had contacts with the areas currently identified as having Covid 19 patients to take necessary health precautions.
The Army Commander said that if there were any such persons, it would be better for them to be quarantined at home even away from close family members. He also advised them to contact the health authorities if they feel they may have signs of Covid 19.

The Army Commander also said that identification of the relatives and associates of the 69 infected in the Brandix factory in Minuwangoda is ongoing and that they would be directed to quarantine immediately he said.
