More than 120 staff members at Karapitiya Hospital have contracted dengue in recent weeks, hospital sources reported.
According to a hospital spokesperson, doctors, nurses, and junior staff members have been treated for dengue, with some still receiving care.
The spokesperson confirmed that none of the affected staff members are in critical condition, although several remain under treatment.
He also noted that the hospital staff might have contracted the disease within the hospital premises.
Meanwhile, the Dengue Control Program revealed that 3,499 dengue cases have been reported across the country since January 1 of this year.
