Opposition shows reluctance to get the ministries in an All party Government !

As the political parties of the opposition have not yet reached to a consensus on whether to get ministerial positions or not in an all-party government has become a major constraint in the forming up new set up, political sources said.

Discussions between the political parties and the President regarding the formation of an all-party government were held in the last two weeks.

The Samagi Jana Balawegaya, the Sri Lanka Freedom Party, the Tamil National Alliance, which held direct talks with the President, have not yet announced a firm agreement regarding getting ministerial posts in the all-party government.

In a background where political parties have not expressed their agreement to get ministerial posts in an all-party government, a large number of MPs from the respective parties have expressed their agreement to get ministerial posts in an all-party government.

It is to be decided in the next few days whether to form the all-party government by bringing together the groups of MPs who have expressed their agreement, or whether to implement an all-party work order.
