The 35-year-old resident from Maggona, Kalutara was part of a 12-person team including 06 doctors who took part in an excursion to Mini World’s End on Saturday (06) and had decided to spend the night.

However, he was later reported missing. Sri Lanka Police and Sri Lanka Army launched an immediate search and rescue operation. Rescue teams attempted to find Wijesundera yesterday amidst heavy rain but to no avail. Police investigations into the mysterious disappearance have also commenced.
