The National People’s Power says that it believes the imposition of night curfew is only done for the purpose of maintaining public peace during the announcement of election results. The NPP also says that the Election Commission and related officials will do the job very accurately and clearly without allowing any irregularities in the 2024 presidential election.
The announcement also states that the National People’s Power believes that the security forces including the police will work to ensure the security of the vote counting centers.
The announcement further states:
“We believe that the imposition of night curfew in this situation is only done for the purpose of maintaining public peace during the announcement of election results. We request the security forces to take the necessary measures to maintain the maximum peaceful situation in the country during the post-election period and protect peace in the country. We request people to extend maximum support to take it.”
