The State of Norway has made the decision to close its Embassy in Sri Lanka as of Today (31).
The closure is a result of structural changes in Norway’s network of foreign diplomatic missions. Following this decision, the Norwegian Embassy in Colombo has suspended its duties.
However, the Norwegian government has assured that diplomatic responsibilities and functions in both Sri Lanka and the Maldives will still be carried out by the Norwegian Embassy in New Delhi, India.
