She pointed out that even though the Omicron strain spread severely in the country in January and February, the number of deaths was lower than when the Delta strain spread because at that time, about 70 percent of the country’s population had received both doses of the vaccine.
The professor also mentioned that getting the 4 doses of the vaccine can reduce the risk of complications and death.
The Department of Epidemiology states that all 4 doses of the vaccine are mandatory for all people over 60 years of age and traveling abroad.
