The Leader of the Opposition Sajith Premadasa has informed the new Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe that the position of the SJB has been presented to the President and that there will be no change in that position but that the party will support as a responsible opposition in making the right decisions in finding solutions to the problems faced by the people.
The Leader of the opposition sent a letter to the PM in response to a request made by Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe to join the Samagi Jana Balawega for an all party program.
The Leader of the Opposition said that the biggest political and economic crisis should be resolved according to the views of the people on the ground. The Leader of the Opposition says that the Samagi Jana Balawega has held discussions with all political parties in the last few weeks for an all party program and that he has also informed the President of his position regarding the new government.
He also informed the Prime Minister that his position would not change.
