Namal Rajapaksa, has voiced his support for a thorough international investigation into the Easter attack. He made this statement in response to a journalist’s question, emphasizing that investigations should not be conducted through TV and radio channels.
Rajapaksa further elaborated on his stance, highlighting that during the tenure of President Ranil Wickremesinghe, a selection committee was appointed in Parliament to address the Easter attack. Notably, this committee included members such as Mr. Sarath Fonseka and Mr. Sumandhiran, with the relevant reports available in parliament.
He went on to suggest that if anyone remains dissatisfied with these reports, the next logical step is to engage government agencies specialized in investigating terrorism and extremism worldwide. He advocated for seeking the assistance of government institutions in countries such as India, England, and America, known for their expertise in conducting thorough investigations.
