Colombo Fort Magistrate Thilina Gamage today ordered to remand till 25 th of May Parliamentarians Sanath Nishantha and Milan Jayatilake, two members of the Sri Lanka People’s Front (SLPP) who were arrested by the CID on the charges of assaulting peaceful protesters in front of Gulface and Temple Trees and vreating terror in the country on May 09th.
The suspects were arrested by the CID last evening (17).
The Magistrate also directed the Commissioner General of Prisons to provide them with the necessary security and arrangements to attend the ongoing Parliamentary sessions.
