Homagama Police has arrested a person who allegedly hooted at Minister Bandula Gunawardena who was in a ceremony of laying a foundation for a new Buddhist temple near Pitipana Junction.
Police say that the arrested person is a 43-year-old businessman residing in Pitipana North area of Homagama.
This person was traveling from Homagama towards Moragahahena in his lorry along the high-level road, and the ceremony was being held at Pitipana junction with the participation of the minister. He has begun to hoot at the minister to express his oppression. However, the Police followed his vehicle and has taken him to custody.
