Mahela Jayawardene, who coached Sri Lanka in the Youth Cricket World Cup in the West Indies, has left the team following the defeat of Afghanistan in the semi-finals.

He has since left the team as Sri Lanka face two more matches for fifth place.

Sri Lanka, who played without Mahela yesterday (30), defeated South Africa and captain Dunith Wellala scored a century.
