Madonna, the renowned pop star, recently thanked her family and friends for their unwavering support during her hospitalization due to a serious bacterial infection. She expressed her gratitude on social media, stating that she felt fortunate to be alive after her time in intensive care (ICU).
The 64-year-old singer had previously assured fans that she was on the road to recovery after spending several days in the ICU. Unfortunately, this situation led to the postponement of her anticipated seven-month world tour, with its start date pushed back by three months.
Madonna emphasized the importance of love and support from family and friends, stating that it was the best medicine during her recovery. She particularly praised her children for being there for her when she needed it most, revealing a side of them she had never seen before.
The pop star also expressed her appreciation for her friends’ love and support. In her Instagram post, she shared a photo hugging her son David and posing with her daughter Lourdes. Additionally, she expressed gratitude for a gift from her manager, Guy Oseary, which made her realize how fortunate she was to be alive and to have known remarkable artists like Andy Warhol and Keith Haring.
Madonna revealed her plan to reschedule the North American leg of her tour and start the Celebration Tour in the UK in October. The tour was set to be her 12th, commemorating 40 years since the release of her first album.
With an estimated wealth of $580 million and earning an estimated $1.2 billion from tours, Madonna remains a prominent figure in the music industry. Despite the setback, her fans eagerly await her triumphant return to the stage.
