Madhumadhava Aravinda, a prominent activist associated with Pivithuru Hela Urumya, has been arrested by Kadawata police today (16) for driving under the influence while illegally speeding on the expressway from Matara.

Reports suggest that a bald-headed, individual arrived in a luxury car and recklessly bypassed road barriers at the Kavadawatha exit of the expressway, accelerating at a high rate. This incident occurred today (16) at approximately 12:10 in the afternoon.

Highway police intervened and halted the car. Upon inspection, they discovered Madhumadhawa Aravindaya in the driver’s seat, who was evidently intoxicated to the point of being unable to maintain steady speech.

Subsequently, he was taken into custody and transported to the Kadawata police station.
