Former Ratnapura High Court Judge Lanka Jayaratne has been appointed as a Judge of the Colombo High Court.
Jayaratne began her judicial career in 2004 and has served in various capacities across the country. She has held positions as Magistrate in Kurunegala, Kuliyapitiya, Kotuwa, Kaduwela, Wattala, and Maligakanda, and notably served as the Chief Magistrate of Colombo.
In 2020, she was promoted to the High Court and served in Embilipitiya until 2021. Since then, she has served as a High Court Judge in Ratnapura until her recent appointment to Colombo.
