Former Sri Lanka Cricket captain Kumar Sangakkara has arrived at the Special Police Unit at the Ministry of Sports. He was summoned by the unit and is expected to provide a statement regarding the allegations levelled by Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage that the World Cup matches in 2011 were fixed.
The unit recently also questioned former cricketer and former selection committee chairman Aravinda De Silva and cricket Upul Tharanga. Aluthgamage has also provided a statement in this regard.
