Five members of a major Sri Lankan organised crime gang, including Manudinu Padmasiri Perera alias “Kehelbaddara Padme”, have been arrested by Indonesian security forces.
Police said the arrested group includes underworld figures known by the aliases “Commando Salintha, Panadura Nilanga, Backo Saman,” and “Tambili Lahiru.”
In addition, sources revealed that the wife of gang member “Backo Saman” and a three-year-old child were also among those taken into custody.
Police Media Spokesperson Assistant Superintendent of Police F. U. Wutler stated that the arrests were made during a joint operation conducted by a special team from the Criminal Investigation Department and the Jakarta Police.
