Secretary of the Ceylon Teachers Union Joseph Stalin and others who are currently detained at the Mullaitivu Quarantine Center have started a protest inside the quarantine center following the withdrawal of teachers from online teaching activities.
Joseph Stalin and others protest against the quarantine of a group of teachers’ union representatives who staged a protest against the Kothalawala University Bill.
Protesters also demanded that the government immediately withdraw the Kothalawala University Act. However, a large number of students in schools and pirivenas have been severely inconvenienced due to teachers’ departure from online teaching activities.
